feigning perfection…

Why do you do this to yourself? Notice that I say do this to yourself, no one else has the power to put the pressure on yourself that you do. You are a perfectionist and when there is a slight tear in your cloak of perfection, it seems as though the world is ending. Instead of mending what has been done, you fail to see it exists and just rip away at the mask of perfection you wear so proudly. It must be exhausting. I cannot imagine attempting what you do everyday. I am almost sympathetic too, but there is just something keeping me from being able to be so completely. We used to be best friends but now we are strangers. I don’t know that I care either. Now that Olathe South is a thing in the past…I think that past relationships are too. I’m learning and I wish you could too. It’s okay to apologize, it’s okay to be wrong, and to make mistakes. But you believe you are so perfect, you’re not. I’m not, he’s not, she’s not, NO ONE is. Watching you do what you are doing is heart breaking. I hope you’ll learn in the future to be a friend, to be a girlfriend, to be a mother. I hope you stop feigning perfection, and I hope you can learn to apologize. Good luck in your future, I don’t plan on being a part of it.

I’m sorry I was never enough for you, I’m sorry I couldn’t make you happy, I’m sorry I let you down, I guess we weren’t who we thought we were.
